In Search of Peace: A Day in Cannes
Hello everyone,
We had the chance to enjoy a few beautiful days in January, and together we decided to go out for seafood in the bay of Cannes. As we savored a delicious meal by the sea, a thought crossed my mind: peace in the world can sometimes seem distant, but there are places where we can find it, like on a boat.

The sky was clear, and the sunset offered a breathtaking spectacle. While sailing on the waves, surrounded by the vastness of the water, we experienced a true sense of serenity. It felt as if all our problems faded away, replaced by a feeling of harmony. The sea has this soothing power, reminding us that despite life’s turmoil, there is always a space of calm.
Sailing invites us to reflect on our place in the world and the need to cultivate peace, both within ourselves and around us. It’s the perfect moment to reconnect with our values and consider how we can contribute to a better world.
I propose we get together one day to share a moment on the water, enjoying a good seafood meal, and discuss the peace we wish to see in the world. These authentic exchanges can truly inspire us and help us move forward together.

We’ll kick off the day with an exciting overview of the regatta, covering the allocation of positions, essential safety protocols, and technical instructions for handling the sails, ensuring you’re fully prepared for the race ahead.
As we set sail towards the starting line, you’ll be surrounded by all the competing boats, creating an exhilarating atmosphere. A delicious packed lunch featuring specialties from the Côte d’Azur will be served on board, accompanied by high-quality champagne, available in abundance both on board and at the quay.
We anticipate returning to port around 4:30 PM, where we’ll wrap up the day with a refreshing closing drink.
All port authorization and insurance are included in your package. The cost is €1500 per person, which also includes limousine service to pick you up from the airport or your hotel.
Optional Service: If you’re staying for several days, we also have events scheduled at various yacht clubs during this time of year, including both the Yacht Club de Monaco and the Yacht Club de Cannes. We are here to assist with the complete organization of your stay in Cannes, including accommodation, catering, transfers, evening events, and more.

Languages Spoken
We speak several languages, including fluent English, French, Italian, and basic Japanese.
The Sphinx is equipped with a high-quality JBL stereo system, karaoke Wi-Fi, and diving gear.
Upon request, it is possible to arrange a week for two people with accommodation on board, including visits to Monaco, the Bay of Villefranche, and parts of Italy up to Saint-Tropez.
In memory of Patrick Dewaere
who was celebrated at the Cannes Festival in 2022 for the 40th anniversary of his passing. Patrick Dewareare was a lover of this boat; it was his haven of peace between films. For those who may not know him, Patrick Dewaere was an iconic figure in French cinema during the 1970s and a close friend of Gérard Depardieu. He lived alongside Miu Miu and the entire fantastic generation that brought fame to cinema in the 70s and 80s
Patrick Dewaere, was also passionate about sailing, which led him to acquire a GC (Grand Cruiser) chassis. This type of boat is appreciated for its sturdiness and performance at sea, making it an ideal choice for sailing enthusiasts. Sailing was also a way for him to experience camaraderie. Among his close friends were personalities like Gerard Depardieu, Jean-Claude Brialy, and Juliette Gréco, who often shared these moments at sea with him. The outings were an opportunity to gather those he loved, creating unforgettable memories filled with joy and simplicity.
Daily Itinerary 4 hours
Departure: Yacht Club of Cannes, ideally at 10:00 AM.
Morning:
Cruise through the bay of Cannes, enjoying views of famous hotels, then head to the Old Port.
Visit to the Lérins Islands:
We’ll anchor near the underwater museum, with the option to dive and see the Easter Island statues.
Lunch:
Enjoy a delicious barbecue on board, along with refreshing drinks and great wine.
Island Tour:
Explore Saint-Honorat Island and its monastery, with wine tasting available for those interested.
Return:
Head back to the Yacht Club of Cannes
